From leaving for a startup to going back to post-IPO life at Wayfair, the last eight months have been busy, tumultuous. The look and feel of this place has changed more times than I can count, but each time I feel like I’m getting closer to something that’s the most like myself.

Last night, I was finishing a copywriting project for a small business in Washington D.C. and I realized what was missing from my old site was myself — my personality. There wasn’t a lot of transparency and I’m sorry for that. One day, I looked at it and it felt like something that I didn’t make. But that happens when creating, you won’t always get it right the first time — and ‘what’s right’ is a moving target anyway.

What’s going to be around here now? I’m going to write more about SEO, from the basics to tests I’m trying to set-up on sites. I’ll show up here to share my process, successes, and my failures. It’s going to feel a lot more like a conversation than click-bait.

I just can’t write another 5 tips or how to article. I’m not going to do that to myself or you. I’ll also be sharing my thoughts on branding and design — maybe a thought or two about digital marketing and advertising, broadly.

I’m reading PHP 101: PHP For the Absolute Beginner right now — so I’ll let you know how that goes. I like meeting new people, so feel free to drop me a line!
